Officer Involved Shooting Protocol
(Involving injury or Death)
Should a Holyoke Police Officer become involved in the discharge of a firearm that results in an injury or death the Holyoke Police Department shall contact, at a minimum, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to conduct an investigation, evaluation, and review of the incident. The department may ask for involvement of other law enforcement agencies as deemed necessary. The Holyoke Police Department will provide a supervisor to assist as needed to the investigating agency or agencies.
